Q:

What is the limitation of disk space that IP-guard agent can keep data when the machine is offline?

A:

If the agent is offline e.g. the end-user picks up the laptop for 4 days business trip without connecting Internet, the agent is still running to capture log and all policy are still active.

When IP-guard detects the hard disk available space is less than 512M (in win98: less than 256M), the dat files placed under “ocular” folder will be compressed first. If the available space is still less than 512M after compressed, all dat files will be deleted and record the data again. This kind of accident will be logged into the database table called app_log, but this cannot be showed in Console.
